A farm is taken over by its overworked, mistreated animals. With flaming idealism and stirring slogans, they set out to create a paradise of progress, justice, and equality. One of the most telling satiric fables ever penned –a razor-edged fairy tale for grown-ups. A book that records the evolution from revolution against tyranny to a totalitarianism just as terrible.
Animal Farm is a beast fable, in the form of a satirical allegorical novella, by George Orwell. 1984 was first published in England on 17 August 1945. It tells the story of a group of farm animals who rebel against their human farmer, hoping to create a society where the animals can be equal, free, and happy. Ultimately, the rebellion is betrayed, and the farm ends up in a state as bad as it was before, under the dictatorship of a pig named Napoleon.
